Guide Dog Instructor - L’Isle sur la Sorgue, France

The Frédéric Gaillanne Foundation, recognized of public utility, is the first European guide dog centre for blind and visually impaired children or with other forms of disability.

In the framework of our growing activity, we are recruiting a guide dog instructor. 


His/Her essential duties :

Under the cynotechnical department manager’s responsability, the guide dog instructor will be pursuing the following missions :

  • Train assistance and guide dogs until they validate their certificate according to the procedures of the Frédéric Gaillanne Foundation ;
  • Instruct children to travel safely and efficiently with a trained guide dog ;
  • Ensure the assistance and guide dog handing over to the children ;
  • Ensure the follow up of the teams children/dogs ;
  • Help in selecting the dogs for the programs ;
  • Help in the planning and following up of the host families ;
  • Set up written reports, according to the Foundation’s procedures ;
  • Promote the Foundation’s activities.

His/her profile:

  • He/She masters French (written/oral) and speaks English fluently ;
  • He/She integrates easily in a multidisciplinary team ;
  • He/She is dynamic, rigorous, comfortable with human relationships, sensitive to the cause of disability ;
  • He/She adapts to specific working methodologies.


Position to be filled immediately.

Conditions :


Guide dog instructor graduate required

2 years desired experience

Full time (35h/week) Permanent contract according to the French legislation

National and International trips


Wage :


Collective agreement of February, 10th 1981
