Qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor - Peterborough, UK

Are you a qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor who would like to enable people with sight loss to get out and about through their partnership with a guide dog?

 

The Guide Dog Mobility Instructors role is central to the delivery of the core guide dog service. As a Guide Dog Mobility Instructor you will deliver specialist services as a part of a rehabilitation programme through existing or new guide dog owner partnerships. You will provide specialist assessments and a staged mobility plan, tailored to meet personal needs and expectations in relation to guide dog mobility.

Vacancy Details

-           Location: Peterborough

-           Contract: Permanent

-           Salary: Starting at £26,537 - £28,100 with the potential to earn up to £36,825 per annum

-           Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

-           Interview Dates: TBC

-           Key Requirements: To be a qualified Guide Dog Mobility Instructor recognised under the International Guide Dog Federation.

Peterborough Mobility Team

The Peterborough Team are an progressive, vibrant and professional team that cover Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire. They support around 240 guide dog owners at any one time, and deliver the following mobility services; the guide dogs service, orientation and mobility training (cane training), and My Guide.
